Chocolate Mentos

    There are many seasonal foods in Japan and apparently, Shizuoka prefecture where we live try out new foods for consumption.   These chocolate and caramel mentos reminded me of Rolos in the States.  They were chewy with a caramel center- exactly opposite of a Rolo.
    The chocolate here is always less sweet than in the U.S. which makes me think we are really sugar driven by Halloween (candy corn), Christmas (candy canes), Valentines and Easter....
