Say What?

Halloween was never a big thing here in Japan but the last few years it has been growing in popularity. There isn't really any Trick or Treating but the stores now are stocking costumes and decorations and candy (no candy corn 😑 and the candy is not what we are used to back home). It is still nice to see Halloween things and we can buy decorations for our classroom.

Say what? Not sure about this and it is kind of early but what the heck...let's give it a try!

Beautiful Evening

It was such a beautiful evening even though it feels like it is a billion degrees out. Can't wait for this heat to end!

Mt. Fuji is so beautiful. Can't wait to see snow on top.

Joanna Is So Funny!

Joanna found a new feature on Facebook and started playing around with it. I couldn't help but share a few of them.

 Joanna...my Batgirl!

Joanna as...Jesus? Not sure what this one was.

Having a Cold Sucks

There is nothing worse than having a bad cold with stuff draining down your throat, especially being a teacher where you use your voice all day. Went to bed and woke up with a 99.5 temp which isn't bad but it is enough to make you feel like poop. Many of our students have been sick and our Japanese partner was out yesterday with a fever. Went to the doctor and got some medicine. Well, time to go take a nap and try to sleep this thing away.

These are the pills I have to take with each meal. Oh, and I got two more for my fever.

Relay for Life in Japan #2 News

Januck and I would really love to be involved with this Relay for Life in Japan event this year.  It is this Saturday - no registration fee required.  You can join with others and stay as long as you want apparently.  There will be a candlelight service at 6 p.m. in remembrance of our lost family and friends to cancer.
We probably don't have the energy to stay all night and walk but still do want to participate in some way.  Anyone is free to join us...
Presently, Januck is suffering from a low grade fever from being overtired at camp but we are hoping he will bounce back and be able to walk on Saturday.

This Is Numazu

We walked down to the other side of the station today for lunch where they were having a food and beer festival. It was fabulous and we got our fill of both and we really enjoyed the local entertainment!
